Poisoned Dough Stick

Do you know dough stick ? perhaps someone who visited China, Taiwan, Malaysia will know, dough stick is a food that made by mixture of floar, alum powder, salt and water. They will get a small amount of mixed floar ( about 2cm in diameter), make into two pieces, pull it long about 15cm, then combine the two long floar into one, and fried it in hot cooking oil, you can see the picture show the dough stick after it fried.

It was a famours and delicious food because of its' crunchy and crispy, everyone live to bite it and enjoy its' crunch, some people even buy alot and keep it until next morning as breakfast. But beware, IF the dough stick till can maintain it's crunchy like just fried, you better be careful, maybe what you eating is poisoned dough stick.

To prove what i am going to tell you later, our members had spend lots of effort and money to find out the answer, we visit lots of dough stick hawker and tested it, and we found the answer on our research.

Actually, a fried floar food, include dough stick will not maintain it's crunchest and crispy after few hours, in order to maintain it of course, the hawker want to attract more customers, some of those hearthless hawker had use drinking straw in their cooking oil.

Drinking straw was a tube in plastic, such as polypropylene and polystyrene, they made by chemical industry and used in wide variety of application, especially in packaging industry, food container and so on.

Polypropylene and polystyrene can reshape and dry easily, so when it melted in cooling oil, then hawkers fried dough stick in that cooking oil, these two agent will coat on the dough stick. Thats why the dough stick can last longer.

The easyiest way to get polypropylene and polystyrene is from drinking straw, normally hawkers will add it into hot cooking oil before they start business, not one or two sticks, is whole package, which means hundreds of drinking straw.

If we keep eating these poison, it may cause health ricks, most comman ricks we know is affect brain function, cancer, birth defects and immunity problems.

So beware, we don't want ourselves and our love ones to be poison. Find the right place to buy right food. Eat with healthy but not eat with poison.
